Hey everyone!

This is Danielle, founder of Goodful Inc.

Danielle has a vision to evolve the farm-to-fork process in a way that dramatically increases the benefits for the earth, farmers, consumers and everyone in between. It’s an all-encompassing, harmonious system that works for everyone, both economically and ecologically.

The core feeling behind Danielle’s vision is harmony.

Every single thing Goodful Inc does is ultimately about creating harmony in our own bodies, amongst each other and in our relationship with the earth. Through Goodful Inc, Danielle would like to expand her personal feeling of harmony so that more people can experience connectivity and alignment on all levels when eating, choosing or cultivating food.

Prioritizing with whom we do business

The first commitment Danielle wanted to make was obvious: buy high-quality food and become a “farm-to-fork” company. But that didn’t seem like enough.

Because for Danielle, it’s not just about buying grass-fed beef and free-range chicken. It’s about forming an authentic community with innovators who are conscious of the harmony between animals, people and nature.

So Danielle personally visited local farms and chose to build relationships with those whose farming practices are in rhythm with the earth’s restorative cycle. In this way, Danielle formed Goodful Inc’s second commitment: to go above and beyond the practice of most organic-inclusive businesses by actively seeking out growers who push innovation forward at the edge of the eco-conscious movement.

...and that led to all sorts of good things.

For many farmers, market forces and competition drive bidding wars that mean their products become undervalued. This denigration forces farmers to make up for profit loss by underpaying farm workers and scaling down on the variety of crops they grow.

That didn't sound right to us, so we sought out a new way. Because of our direct relationships with famers, not only do the farms come out on top, but consumers get a more diverse selection of organic products at lower prices. And that means we can offer more people access to affordable organic food.

The concept behind Goodful restaurant

Our flagship location will open in Sacramento, which is known as the “farm-to-fork capital,” and will be a prototype for others nationwide. Goodful restaurant is all about providing clean food, fast.

Danielle recognizes the need to make prepared organic meals easily accessible so that everyone can eat well – not just those who have time to shop at farmers' markets and cook. And she doesn‘t think people should have to slow down to eat healthy. Her vision is to have the farm-to-fork process meet the demand of the modern-day pace.

Condition-based meals

In addition to our Signature Dishes, Goodful restaurants will offer a specialized menu that promotes recovery from the most common illnesses such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes. Backed by current medical research, each condition-based dish will have the specific nutrients, vitamins and minerals recommended for the illness it aims to address.

While this specialized menu will be offered in Goodful restaurants, we also envision a thriving delivery service catering to surrounding hospitals and ancillary medical care facilities.

Finally, we are exploring the possibility of an on-site “mini-clinic” where diners would have their overall health assessed and subsequently result with a recommended Goodful meal plan.

Purpose-based alcohol

Goodful Inc. will launch a line of alcohol-based herbal remedies inspired by and modeled after traditional medicinal Scandinavian snaps and Italian digestivos. Targeted for the health conscious, these herbal remedies will be bottled and sold in stores, as well as served in Goodful restaurants. Each formula could be consumed on its own or become part of a sophisticated cocktail.

We plan to experiment with six new formulas per year, all of which will undergo nutritional analysis. Our unusual and health-proven ingredient list includes Rosehip, White Currant, Hawthorn Berry, Bay Laurel, Coriander, Gentian and Clove.

Goodful eco-education program

One of the largest obstacles to the organic movement becoming a global norm is educating the main populace about why exactly it matters. In each restaurant, we will host guest lecturers, forums and meetings for the general public.

Check out our blog which features nutritional information for current dishes being served on the menu, food beliefs and eco-conscious preparation techniques.
